‘He is far from being in the squad’ – Manager confirms left footed Arsenal star will be OUT of Action until 2026 after picking up INJURY amid 2-0 win over PSG in the midweek
Norway manager Ståle Solbakken has raised concerns about Martin Odegaard’s return to action, leaving Arsenal fans anxious about the midfielder’s recovery timeline.
Hopes had been high that Odegaard would return after the October international break, but his comeback now seems uncertain.
The Arsenal captain suffered an injury during the last international window, missing several key matches for the Gunners since then.
While Arsenal have continued to perform well, Odegaard’s absence is noticeable, given his influential role and superb form before the injury.
Though Arsenal are eager to have their captain back in the lineup, it appears his return could be further delayed.
Odegaard has already been ruled out of Norway’s upcoming fixtures, and there are doubts over whether he will be fit before the November international break.
Speaking on the midfielder’s recovery, Norway boss Solbakken told Metro Sport:
“He is far from being in the squad. We will see how far he gets during this national team break.”
Solbakken further added: “I have known for quite some time that he was not relevant for this gathering.”
Odegaard’s absence has certainly been felt, but Arsenal have coped well without him. The Gunners remain unbeaten and in contention for trophies, and the hope is that Odegaard’s eventual return will further strengthen their push for success.
