‘He is not in my plan’: ‘Sensational’ Arsenal talent now likely to be sold this summer, he’s not in Mikel Arteta’s plans anymore
Arsenal wonderkid is now set to leave the club permanently this summer after shining at Blackpool.
That is according to a report from The Athletic, who suggest that Patino is on his way out of Arsenal.
It’s stated that Patino wants to leave Arsenal in order to find regular first-team football elsewhere.
Arsenal are ‘receptive’ to that idea and are now willing to sell Patino despite his enormous potential
Patino doesn’t want another loan move after excelling with Championship side Blackpool, despite their relegation.
The report claims that Patino is unlikely to be part of Mikel Arteta’s plans next season.
A number of clubs in the UK and abroad are interested in Patino with Arsenal now ready to cash in.
Charlie Patino exit a real shame for Arsenal
Obviously, not every Hale End prospect and become a superstar like Bukayo Saka
Others have to move on in order to play first-team football and it looks like Patino will be one of them.
Hailed as ‘sensational’ by Blackpool teammate Jerry Yates, Patino showed enormous promise and talent at Bloomfield Road
Patino, 19, notched two goals and four assists in 33 games, showing great technical ability throughout his time with the Seasiders.
Many thought Patino would become an Arsenal star, especially after scoring on his Gunners debut against Sunderland in 2021.
First-team football just isn’t going to happen now though and Arsenal are ready to sell the teenager.
Arsenal are planning to bring in new midfielders this summer amid links to the likes of Declan Rice, Moises Caicedo and Mohammed Kudus.
That will make Patino’s dream of first-team action for Arsenal a little trickier and a departure may be best for the youngster
Add in that Folarin Balogun could leave permanently too and Arsenal fans may be a little gutted to see a couple of top young talents wanting to leave the Emirates Stadium.
