‘He is the only underrated player so far that I have seen,I don’t know why doesn’t praise rather they banter Him’: Leandro Trossard says £45m Arsenal player is so underrated, he’s not played since October

Leandro Trossard has named the player he believes to be the most underrated in the Arsenal squad.

Leandro Trossard certainly has a claim to be amongst the most underrated players in Mikel Arteta’s ranks at the Emirates. The Belgian arrived for £27 million in the 2023 January transfer window – which, in today’s game, is not a huge sum for a Premier League title contender.

The 29-year-old has 22 goal involvements in 50 games for the club in all competitions. And after his performance against West Ham at the weekend, it was suggested that even Mikel Arteta is not quite aware just how good Trossard is.

However, the forward has picked out another player as the most underrated at Arsenal.

In a quick fire Q&A with Fubo, Trossard named Thomas Partey as the player who does not get the credit that he deserves.

It has been another frustrating season for the Ghanaian. Unfortunately, injuries have been a prominent factor throughout his tome in North London.

The 30-year-old has not played for club or country since the middle of October. Thankfully, Arsenal do not appear to have missed him too much in the months since.

Declan Rice has obviously been outstanding since his summer switch to the club. Meanwhile, Jorginho seems to step up whenever he gets the opportunity to play for Arsenal.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Partey at the Emirates. If the £45 million man can stay fit, he could be a huge player for Arteta over the next couple of years as Arsenal look to remain near the summit of the Premier League and battling in the latter stages of the Champions League.

That is proving to be a big if. But clearly, Trossard is confident that he can still play a big role for the Gunners.
