“He told me he wants to return to Arsenal because he still feels he can do better than Jesus”- Arsenal Sporting Director Edu Gasper reveals forgotten Ex Arsenal striker wants a return back to Arsenal by January transfer as he wants to rewrite history with the club
Former Arsenal striker Mika Biereth, now playing for Sturm Graz, has expressed his hope of one day returning to the Emirates. The 20-year-old Dane, who moved permanently to Austria last summer following a series of loan spells, reflected on his time with the Gunners and his current progress.
Biereth, who joined Arsenal from Fulham in 2021, struggled to secure a place in Mikel Arteta’s squad, leading to loan stints at RKC Waalwijk and Motherwell before excelling at Sturm Graz. Speaking to TV2, the young striker shared his satisfaction with his development: “Things are going well at Sturm Graz. I play every week at a good level, and now we’re also competing in the Champions League.”
While focused on his current team, Biereth admitted he would welcome the chance to play in the Premier League again. “If I keep playing well and scoring goals, hopefully, a change can come. A return to Arsenal would be fantastic, but it’s not something I’m focusing on at the moment,” he said.
With regular game time and strong performances, Biereth continues to grow as a player, keeping the door open for a potential comeback to Arsenal in the future.
