Manchester United

“He was really poor with the ball in his legs and the worst player on the pitch, he made Man united lose. Even Adre Onana did very excellent than him”- Tottenham legend Tim Sherwood slams ‘awful’ £45M player for what he did that cost Man United the win against Bournemouth last night

Tim Sherwood has given his verdict on Manchester United defensive midfielder Sofyan Amrabat after watching him in action against Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager was not impressed with Amrabat at all.

So, what has Tim Sherwood said about Manchester United midfielder Sofyan Amrabat? Let’s take a look.

Tim Sherwood slams Manchester United’s Sofyan Amrabat vs Bournemouth
Well, Manchester United went down 3-0 to Bournemouth at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

It was a very bad performance from Erik ten Hag’s side, one of their worst of the season so far.

United conceded the first goal after just five minutes and then shipped in two more in the second half.

Sofyan Amrabat started for United. The 27-year-old was deployed alongside Scott McTominay in holding midfield in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood was following the match for Sky Sports, and he was not impressed at all with what he saw from Amrabat, who joined United on loan from Fiorentina in the summer of 2023. Liverpool were linked too.

Sherwood said in the first half (3:34 pm, December 9, Sky Sports News): “I want Ten Hag or someone to tell me why Kobbie Mainoo is not playing and Amrabat is because Amrabat is by far their worst player today.

“He is having loads of the football, and he makes poor decisions on it. His distribution is not as good as Kobbie.”

Amrabat had a pass accuracy of 91.9%, took 82 touches, attempted two dribbles, and made three tackles.

Bad result for Manchester United
Manchester United have been inconsistent this season, and once again, it showed against Bournemouth at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday.

Erik ten Hag’s side beat Chelsea 2-1 at Old Trafford in the league on Wednesday evening. It came after a 1-0 loss at the hands of Newcastle United away from home at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.

And today, United have gone down 3-0 to Bournemouth. It was a really poor result against a team who are likely to fight against relegation this season.

I do not think that the Red Devils are even going to challenge for the Premier League title this season. If they do not find some kind of consistency, then they may not even compete for the top four.
