The definition of insanity is to keep doing things in the same way and expecting different results and this current Man Utd squad seems to embody that “quality”.
With the manager not being under any pressure anymore, United are heading into a massive summer next season.

United wouldn’t really have expected Amorim to turn this around immediately and get United firing again but this is still becoming a long-running nightmare.
With their next three fixtures against Newcastle, Liverpool, and Arsenal, United could well find themselves in a position where they’re out of two domestic cups and hover dangerously close to the relegation zone.
Amorim, for his part, can’t go on the pitch and score himself but sacking the manager has led to one clear direction for the club, which is that the manager is not the problem.
The Portuguese is sticking to his methods through thick and thin, perhaps what others before him should have done, and anyone who isn’t deemed fit should be shown the door.
This is not the time to wonder whether Marcus Rashford could have made a difference. It’s time to send some more players in Rashford’s direction if they’re not improving.
The consequences of bad performances have been paid by the man in the dugout far too often, they need to shift to the people actually putting up those bad performances now.
