‘HE WILL START TODAY’: Arteta says he might unleash £200,000-a-week Arsenal player today – FANS WILL LOVE HIM

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has told the club’s official website that Thomas Partey could play against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners will lock horns with Leicester in the league this afternoon.

Arteta said on Friday that defensive midfielder Partey could feature in the game.

The £200,000-a-week (The Sun) has not played Arsenal’s last two games with a thigh issue, but he did do some training this week.

MIKEL ARTETA ON THOMAS PARTEY FOR ARSENAL V LEICESTER CITY

Arteta said: “The question mark is on Thomas. He hasn’t trained much but it looks like he could be available, so let’s see how he trains today.”

The Arsenal boss added: “Yeah, he’s a really important player for us, who we missed in the last few games. Hopefully he can be available.”

ENCOURAGING

In our view, it is very encouraging that Thomas Partey could play for Arsenal against Leicester City.

Partey is one of the best and most important players in the Arsenal team.

The Gunners are just not the same when the former Atletico Madrid star is not in the starting lineup.

Now, of course, Partey may not start against Leicester, but even if he is on the bench, it will boost the Gunners, who are aiming to win the Premier League title this season.

Arsenal won against Aston Villa in their last Premier League game, but the North London club did need late goals to get the job done.
