‘He Would Love To Join’- Fabrizio Confirms Arsenal Pursuit For Talented Midfielders

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Arsenal would be interested in the Belgian midfielder this summer’s transfer window.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Belgian midfielder for a few months now. Tielemans was reported to be Mikel Arteta’s priority target in central midfield, but a deal is still nowhere near close to completion.

The 25-year-old, branded as an ‘incredible’ player, has returned to Leicester for pre-season, and he is training with the Foxes’ squad ahead of the start of the new Premier League campaign, which is just under two weeks away now.

Romano was asked about Arsenal’s interest in Tielemans last night, and the journalist claimed that it’s up to the Gunners now to decide if they really want him.

He said on the Que Golazo podcast: “It is his priority. I would say it’s a clear choice because the player would love to move, he would love to join Arsenal, but it’s up to Arsenal to submit a proposal and go strong for him.

“He’s waiting for Arsenal since April, since May. This is when the contact started – it was the end of April, beginning of May. They are still there, they are discussing but still no official bid, just approaches and contacts. It’s up to them now to decide if they want to go for Tielemans as a priority after signing Zinchenko, or if they want to go for different positions.

“Because the player is out of contract next summer, Arsenal know it’s a big opportunity on the market having a player like Tielemans available like this.”
