Latest reports suggest that United’s pursuit of Cucurella has reached advanced stages. The Premier League club were in search of a left-back after injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia left Erik ten Hag without a senior left-sided full-back in the squad. The La Masia product is viewed as a player who is best suited to play in the Dutch manager’s system.
The former Ajax manager is keen on working with the 25-year-old, according to rumors. The talks are currently ongoing between the two Premier League giants for a loan deal. The Red Devils initially offered a loan fee in excess of £2 million, which was rejected by the Blues.
The United hierarchy is now only focusing on wrapping up the signing of the Spanish full-back before the transfer window shuts. They are not negotiating with any other left-back at the moment.
