Over the last few seasons – Arteta has got this Arsenal side from challenging for a top six side into challenging for that Premier League title – and they almost won that Premier League title last summer.

However there is still alot of speculation surrounding the players that Arteta will look to sign during the rest of the summer, especially now that they will be back in the Champions League and favourtes to beat Man City for that title.

Riccardo Calafiori has already been signed by ARSENAL this summer – but there are still some rumours in the media which have claimed that Arsenal and Tottenham are both ready to battle it wout with Newcastle United for the signature of Guehi.

It is no secret that The Toon are keen to sign the defender – they have been working on a potential deal for the last few weeks – but Newcastle have been unable to wrap up a deal for the defender and now clubs have been put on alert.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has provided an update on Marc Guehi’s future and claimed that if any club are willing to meet their asking price – they will get the England star – Parish told Sky Sports News: “Nobody has got to the valuation yet. If you want a superstar player you need to pay superstar money.

“It’s not near the point where we have to make a decision. He’s a generational talent.”

It would be interesting to see if he could handle the pressure of playing for one of the big clubs in the Premier League.

And the fact that he would add depth to the squad for not alot of money – he could be a very good signing for ARSENAL – but we are not sure that Arteta wants another defender signing.
