HERE WE GO: Arsenal now interested in signing Juventus attacking midfielder – Edu have to act fast before Liverpool will seal the deal

Arsenal are interested in signing Juventus attacking midfielder Kenan Yildiz ahead of the January transfer window, according to Turkish-Football.

The Gunners have been scouting the 18-year-old for a while and have made enquiries as they look to know what it would cost to recruit his services.

Yildiz joined Juve from Bayern Munich in 2022, initially linking up with the Juventus Next Gen in the Serie C.

He has featured five times in the Serie A this term and has featured three times for Turkey, bagging a goal in their 3-2 win against his country of birth Germany in a friendly last month.

Arsenal want to strengthen their squad ahead of the second half of the campaign, and Yildiz’s versatility would come in handy under manager Mikel Arteta.

The teenage sensation can play in deeper roles in midfield, out wide on both wings or as a number 9, and Liverpool are also keeping tabs on him.

According to CalcioMercato, Reds sporting director Jorg Schmadtke has been watching him since he was with Bayern, and Spanish sources claim Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has already given his approval for the Anfield club to sign him.

Yildiz has a contract until 2027 with Juventus and they are not keen on losing him anytime soon given his huge potential.

However, the Italian giants would consider offers for the right price due to their financial position. Arsenal and Liverpool will still need to table a juicy deal to have a chance of getting their man.

He will be part of the Turkey squad to Euro 2024, and a move to a club where he can start playing more could be appealing.

The Gunners could give him that opportunity as Arteta needs quality attacking reinforcements to boost their title chances, and a move could be on the cards.
