HERE WE GO: Big presentation coming up as Manchester United set to announce the most expensive signing of the week, bid approved, Medical done as deal will be completed today
Manchester United supporters are celebrating the news Leny Yoro is set to join the club.
Yoro had been favouring a move to Spanish champions Real Madrid, however, Manchester United are now poised to wrap up a deal.
Manchester United are set to put Yoro through a medical before finalising a move, with a £52 million transfer agreed with Lille.
In short, Manchester United simply wanted him more, and that has won Yoro over, who wanted to make the move away from Lille this summer.
Romano explained via YouTube: “In the recent days he had the clear feeling that Real Madrid were not going to match the proposal of Manchester United.
“Real never told Leny Yoro, his agent, or Lille, ‘we are going to match the proposal’ and sign Yoro immediately. Real Madrid’s strategy was completely different.
“Real Madrid’s only proposal was worth around 25 million Euros and the idea was if you want to come to Eeal Madrid, this is our proposal’, if Lille decide to accept in the next week, it’s ok it’s fine, otherwise you can join us as a free agent starting from next season.
“So Leny Yoro had to decide, Real Madrid with this kind of strategy, or Manchester United, very ,very aggressive.
“They had a bid accepted, they presented an important project to the player, they wanted Leny Yoro to be one of the superstars of the team of Manchester United, so they were very strong in approaching the player and convince the player, and they have been able to do so, because they have the green light of Leny Yoro to travel and to complete his move to Manchester United.”
Manchester United want to move quickly
Manchester United want to capitalise on the agreement with Leny Yoro and get the deal done as quickly as possible.
Romano explains that he could be uttering his ‘here we go’ catchphrase within the next few hours.
He said: “Manchester United want to move very fast. The expectation is for the ‘here we go’ to come very soon, today probably.
“Manchester United don’t want to lose time because they fear any club could jump in and try to hijack the deal, Real Madrid obviously. But at the moment its a very clear feeling, all parties that Leny Yoro is ready to go to Manchester United.”
Liverpool were also keen on Yoro and considered him a ‘prime target’, but neve had the belief they could beat Real Madrid to his signature.
Romano has also added that Yoro is set to sign a five-year contract with Manchester United, with an option of a sixth year.
