HERE WE GO CONFIRMED: Man united finally completes another Club record transfer of £85.5m, Medical date fixed as underground agreement was reached last night – Official unveiling soon Infront of Man united fans – Welcome to Old Trafford star boy
As per reports, Man Utd now want not one but two players from Bologna in the form of Joshua Zirkzee and Riccardo Calafiori, who have a combined worth of £68million (80 million euros).
According to Tutto Juve, the Red Devils are interested in signing the Italian defender, who has regularly started for the Azzurri at the European championships.
The Italian news source have mentioned that Calafiori is valued at around £34million (40 million euros) and Man Utd could satisfy the amount to hire his services.
On the other hand, it has been reported that the Old Trafford side are expected to trigger the exit clause of £34million to sign Zirkzee.
Both players were influential in helping Bologna earn a place in the UEFA Champions League, formerly known as the European Cup, for the first time in six decades.
Calafiori was not only solid at the back but also directly contributed in 7 goals in the last Serie A campaign.
He has been impressive overall for Italy at the Euros but unfortunately, scored an own goal that led to his team’s defeat against Spain.
Zirkzee netted 12 goals in all competitions for Bologna last term, but he is still waiting to make his senior international debut for the Netherlands.
In the opening two group games at the Euros against Poland and France, Ronald Koeman opted to keep the forward on the bench.
Erik ten Hag needs to replace Anthony Martial in the strike-force and Raphael Varane at the back.
In such a scenario, should Man Utd pay around £68million to sign Zirkzee and Calafiori from Bologna?
