HERE WE GO: Man United finally completes their first summer signing, documents signed last night on a permanent deal, jersey number picked, medical team on standby as announcement will be done today

Man Utd and Real Madrid are in an intriguing battle to hire the services of Leny Yoro from Lille in the summer transfer window.

As per today’s version of Marca (news image provided below), skipper, Nacho, has three weeks to decide whether he wants to continue playing for the Los Blancos, who are in the market to lure the veteran’s repalcement.

The European champions are ready to sign Leny Yoro, who even wants to wear the famous white shirt at the Bernabue.

However, there are two major complications.

First is money. Lille want the suitors to ‘break the bank’ for one of the best teenage central defenders around.

Second is the arrival of Man Utd on the scene that has complicated the signing of Yoro considered absolutely strategic by Madrid.

Marca claim that the ‘offer sent’ to Leny Yoro by Man Utd ‘exceeds’ what Madrid can offer to secure the signing.

Earlier this month, we covered a report from Marca stating that the Old Trafford outfit are willing reach the asking fee of 60 million euros to sign the Ligue 1 starlet.

On the other hand, last weekend, AS revealed that Madrid are not prepared to offer anything more than 40 million euros.

The source states:

“The absence of Yoro in the Euro Cup or (Olympic) Games may help the signing to slow down and move in numbers more in line with the reality that Real Madrid has assigned for an 18-year-old center back”

Man Utd are offering Yoro more money but they cannot offer a better sporting project than Madrid. So, it will be interesting to see if the Red Devils can get the deal over the line.
