Well, we could be about to receive some good news on that front. It’s in regard to Donny van de Beek, with the Dutchman heavily linked with a transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt over the past week.
Fabrizio Romano posted his latest information on that front on X. He stated that the current United player is set to undergo medical tests over the next 24 hours, in regard to a proposed loan move away, that could turn into a permanent transfer.
The buy option clause, which will be revealed on Friday, could be worth up to £13m for United, assuming Van de Beek enjoys success with Frankfurt and earns a permanent contract in Germany.
Frankfurt feels like a nice career move for Donny. He needs to be playing in a system that works to his strengths and this German side does exactly that.
More than anything, it’s a confidence thing for the player. He’s obviously a top professional, it just hasn’t worked for him here in Manchester and he needs this career move sooner rather than later.
I just hope that he can thrive in Germany from the minute he arrives there. Not only would he fetch a decent transfer fee back for United, but it’d also mean wages off the books.
