He’s a great player, can’t believe He did that yesterday..I will rate Him 9/10′: WestHam Star Bowen praises ONE Arsenal despite trashing Arsenal yesterday

Mark Schwarzer has praised The £40m for the save he made right at the start of the second-half on a miserable night for Arsenal away at West Ham.

Schwarzer was speaking to BBC Radio Five Live after Jarrod Bowen forced the goalkeeper into a brilliant stop as the Gunners were knocked out of the Carabao Cup.

Aaron Ramsdale was certainly not the reason Arsenal are out of the competition. The 25-year-old was surely fouled as Ben White broke the deadlock with an own goal. And he could do little about West Ham’s two goals in the second-half.

But there is no question that he did brilliantly to deny Bowen just after the break. Lucas Paqueta did superbly to set the forward up. And Bowen looked to dink the ball over his England teammate.

However, Ramsdale managed to react quickly and lift his hands to claw the ball away. Ben White was on hand to make sure that Mohammed Kudus could not tap the ball in.

Obviously, it seemed to be a big night for Ramsdale given that he has lost his place to David Raya. And Mark Schwarzer praised him for what had the potential to be an important stop.

“Almost straight from the kick-off there. West Ham did really well to win the long, high ball from Aaron Ramsdale. And the turn of attack is really quick. Bowen has a great chance, makes a really great run off the shoulder. Ramsdale comes out and closes the angle down, stays really big and gets a fingertip touch on the ball and prevents the ball from going in the back of the net. It’s a really good clearance again in the end from Ben White,” he told BBC Radio Five Live.
