“He’s going to be leaving Man United immediately after the EUROS and i can tell they’ll regret selling him in the future, just like Chelsea regretted selling Mo Salah and KDB”- Chelsea Legend Didier Drogba issues a brutal warning to Man united after Ten Hag says he intends to release ‘phenomenal’ star this summer for a very little fee
Manchester United are set to lose one of their coaches despite Erik ten Hag’s request.
Earlier in the month, it was reported that Dutchman Ten Hag will continue as United manager despite a poor 23/24 season.
United finished in a disappointing eighth place in the Premier League and saw their Champions League campaign come to a drastic halt at the group stage.
However, the Red Devils did end the season on a high when they beat Manchester City to win the FA Cup at Wembley last month.
Heading into the new campaign, it has been reported that United are set to lose first-team coach Benni McCarthy.
As reported by The Athletic, the former Blackburn Rovers, Ajax, Celta Vigo and FC Porto striker will leave his role when his two-year contract comes to a close at the end of this month.
The report stated: “It’s understood that the lifelong United fan wants to be a manager again. McCarthy had a positive relationship with many of the United players and enjoyed his time at Old Trafford.”
Earlier in the month, it was reported that one of Ten Hag’s requests was for the club to offer McCarthy a new deal.
With McCarthy’s departure looming large, it was claimed by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano that United are set to add two new coaches to Ten Hag’s backroom team.
He wrote on social media: “Exclusive story confirmed: Man United will add Ruud van Nistelrooy and René Hake from Go Ahead Eagles to their new backroom staff.
“Erik ten Hag will sign new contract in the next days, all agreed and 100% done as revealed earlier this week.”
Dutchman Ruud van Nistelrooy previously played for United under Sir Alex Ferguson.
During his time at Old Trafford, the former striker managed 150 goals in 219 appearances and also got his hands on one Premier League title, an FA Cup, one League Cup and the FA Community Shield.
