‘He’s so mad’: Arsenal told player unhappy at failed transfer to Mikel Arteta’s side

Jose Enrique says Moises Caicedo is ‘so mad’ after his failed January transfer to Arsenal from Brighton and Hove Albion, as he posted on Instagram.

The former Liverpool left-back thinks he can understand why Brighton held so firm with their sought-after player, after losing Leandro Trossard to the very same club in the winter window.

Whilst Mikel Arteta watched bid after bid for Caicedo being turned down, the Premier League leaders opted to turn their attention to Jorginho and bringing him in from Chelsea.

Even though Caicedo publicly expressed his desire in wanting to leave Brighton, the 21-year-old still couldn’t get his move to Arsenal.

Nonetheless, when Fabrizio Romano posted on IG about Caicedo’s situation, former Liverpool left-back Enrique posted the following message in the comments section.

“He will be so mad,” said Enrique. “But the club has the power. You are under contract and they don’t want to let you leave in the middle of the season.

MOISES CAICEDO – SUMMER TRANSFER WINDOW

It’s going to be interesting what happens with Caicedo during the summer transfer window and whether the club will push for him again.

Of course, a lot of it will be down to his performances, and if that continues, then it’s no reason why they shouldn’t sign the player.

Especially with Ben White being such a top signing since his move from the Amex Stadium and, at this moment in time, Leandro Trossard has made a positive start.
