Arsenal have a host of players currently out on international duty representing their countries.

The likes of William Saliba, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli have all linked up with their respective nations.

On Friday, Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya and Gunners midfielder Mikel Merino were both in action for Spain in their Nations League meeting with Denmark.

The Arsenal stopper won his ninth cap, and fifth in a row, as the Euro 2024 champions ran out 2-1 winners in Copenhagen.

Marca gave Raya a rating of 7.5 out of 10 overall for his efforts on the night.

Speaking about the Arsenal man’s first half, they wrote: ‘He put his hand in to clear the first corner of the match. Without many complications in the first half.’

Regarding the second half, they wrote: ‘With authority in the aerial ball. After a huge mistake by Fabian… another big mistake by Raya.

‘Fabián passed it to Raya without seeing that he was on Isaksen, Raya tried to dribble past the striker and without time to react the goal came (Fabián made a bigger mistake).

AS also noted how Raya got Spain over the line as they said he ‘prevented the draw’.

‘The Spanish goalkeeper made a tremendous effort to deflect Skov Olsen’s dangerous shot with a left-footed shot onto the far post,’ they wrote.
