“He’s the most intelligent player I’ve seen from a rival club, I expect Mikel Arteta to build his team around him if Arsenal really want to challenge and beat us to the Premier League title next season”- Man City star Bernardo Silva reveals he’s blown by Arsenal’s intelligent player as he expresses his fear over Arsenal winning the league next season

BERNARDO SILVA EXPECTS ARSENAL TO KEEP MANCHESTER CITY AT BAY BECAUSE MIKEL ARTETA IS DEMANDING AND INTELLIGENT.

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva expects Arsenal to be in contention for major silverware again next season after the Gunners missed out on the Premier League title for the second season running.

The north Londoners finished the 2023-24 season two points behind Pep Guardiola’s side despite an impressive campaign, having finished five points behind them in 2022-23.

Arsenal will be looking to do even better in 2024-25, but Silva believes manager Mikel Arteta and his young squad will be hungry to win trophies and praises the Spaniard for his intelligence and resilience.

“I know their manager very well, because he was here with us,” the Portuguese replied when asked if he thought Arsenal would keep Man City at bay next season.

“I know how demanding and how intelligent he is. If you look at their squad, they are so young and they are really very hungry to win titles. There is no doubt about that.”

Arteta and his men lost to Man City in another tight title race and have vowed to come back stronger next season.

However, Arsenal need to strengthen their squad if they want to win the title more decisively in the future, and a new striker who can score and assist consistently would be very useful.

Bukayo Saka (16), Kai Havertz (13) and Leandro Trossard (12) all scored double-digit league goals and Martin Ødegaard (10) had double-digit assists, but it wasn’t enough for the Gunners to reach the finish line.

They would need another striker capable of scoring at least 20 league goals, but Arteta and sporting director Edu must get a number 9 to improve the situation in the final third if Arsenal are to improve their chances of winning the Premier League title next season.
