“He’s the only Arsenal player that i fear, i just hope Mikel Arteta will bench him against us”- Porto defender pepe confessed that he’s scared of 24-year-old Arsenal star after watching him against Sheffield

Pepe shared what he found really strange after Ben White scored the sixth Arsenal goal in their emphatic victory over Sheffield United on Monday night.

Mikel Arteta’s men made a huge statement in the Premier League title race. Of course, few were expecting them to stumble against the Blades at Bramall Lane. But the manner of Arsenal’s victory was quite something.

The Gunners were 5-0 up before the break. And had they wanted to keep their foot on the accelerator, more records may have been broken.

Ian Wright delighted by Ben White goal in Arsenal win
In fact, the only goal scored in the second-half came from an unlikely source, with Ben White producing a superb finish for only his fourth goal in an Arsenal shirt.

Plenty of White’s Arsenal teammates were full of praise for the right-back on social media after the win. And speaking on Wrighty’s House, Ian Wright suggested that it was so satisfying to see how much the goal meant to the 26-year-old.

“You know the goal I enjoyed most yesterday was Ben White’s goal. Ben White’s goal, and getting forward the way he gets forward. And it’s really strange, even seeing Ben White smile makes me happy because he just looks like such a serious, deep kind of dude. But he hit that so well. We’re in a situation where they couldn’t get out, the ball comes back out, we get it back to him, bam, smashes it in. It was just brilliant to see,” he said.

Gunners flying at the perfect time
Of course, it has been suggested that White is not a football fan. The defender himself, noted that he loves playing the game even he does not watch it in his spare time (Telegraph).

So perhaps it should not be a big surprise that he did clearly enjoy his goal against the Blades.

You cannot argue with the fact that Arsenal are playing the best football in the Premier League right now. They have now scored 31 goals in their last seven league games.

And you have to say that no-one has more momentum in the Premier League title race right now.
