Michael Brown felt that Leandro Trossard should have done a lot better with an early chance for Arsenal in their Premier League clash with West Ham on Sunday.
The Gunners desperately needed a win after both Liverpool and Manchester City picked up three points on Saturday. And there was a split-second where it appeared that Leandro Trossard was about to give Mikel Arteta’s side the lead at the London Stadium
Trossard found himself around the six-yard box with a free header after a brilliant cross from Bukayo Saka midway through the first-half.

The Belgian however, was in absolutely no danger of hitting the target. The header was a poor one and did not test Alphonse Areola. And speaking on BBC Radio Five Live, Michael Brown noticed that he was stunned to do so poorly with the opportunity.
Wonderful play down that right-hand side. Saka just opens it up, left-footed, lovely cross. It’s drifted in towards that six-yard area. Trossard’s there, hands on his head, no wonder. He just needs to just touch it, gets it wrong, just tries to head it with a little bit of power,” he said.
“That’s a big, big chance. To somebody who can head the ball well, that’s a definite goal.”
Gunners didn’t need to wait long for opening goal
Fortunately for Arsenal, the miss did not cost them. It was an unbelievable second-half of the first-half as the Gunners scored four times before the break.
Trossard was one of those to find the back of the net, doing superbly to put the ball into the top corner to make the scoreline 4-0.
Arsenal fans must have been fearful when the first few chances slipped through their grasp. Obviously, much of the talk concerning the Gunners this season has been their lack of a ruthless goalscorer. And of course, West Ham snatched a victory at the Emirates recently.
But Arsenal did discover that clinical edge before half-time. And Trossard was one of those who would have been particularly relieved that the miss did not come back to haunt them.
