‘I disgraced their Ramsdale before,so is not a new thing..I will disgrace Raya today again’: Chelsea signee Cole Palmer sends premier league warning to Arsenal as the battle line has been drawn
With 24 hours to go until Chelsea are back in Premier League action, work will already be well underway in creating a gameplan to beat Arsenal.
Mauricio Pochettino will be well aware that the challenge of the title-challenging Gunners will be one of the biggest challenges that awaits him at Stamford Bridge this season.
He will have been keeping a close eye on international fixtures this week, praying that Chelsea players were not impacted by injuries ahead of the return of domestic football.
The Argentine was not particularly lucky. Axel Disasi pulled out before even travelling to join up with the France squad, meanwhile Armando Broja was sent home in no condition to represent his nation.
The biggest concern though will have been seeing Cole Palmer return to Cobham early, after suffering a dead leg in his international outing.
Palmer has match-winning potential
Reports since have claimed there is an expectation that he will play a part against Arsenal, and this will be absolutely crucial to Chelsea’s chances.
Ever since he came into the side, the club’s form has taken a vast turn. They have won all three of the games he has started since his summer move.
The 21-year-old has also contributed to a goal in every single game he has played too, bringing some much needed creativity and ruthlessness in attack.
Goals had been extremely sought after in the opening weeks of the campaign, and there have been six in the two Premier League games started by Palmer this season.
Assuming he is fit of course, Pochettino must make the decision to start the former Manchester City man against Arsenal, with them having an opportunity to make a real statement to the rest of the Premier League with a result tomorrow.
