Manchester United star Mason Greenwood was spotted training with former teammate Shola Shoretire in Manchester.
This comes as uncertainty over the future of Greenwood carries on. He is now back in the UK after a successful loan spell in Spain with Getafe.
Under Jose Bordalas, Greenwood registered 10 goals and six assists in 36 appearances across all competitions. He won Getafe’s Player of the Season award for his exploits.
As a result of his impressive performances in La Liga, Greenwood is believed to be wanted by a bevvy of top clubs in Europe, which all want to permanently sign him.
He has so far been linked to teams such as Valencia, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Lazio, Juventus, Marseille and Borussia Dortmund. It’s been mentioned that he has admirers in the Premier League and in the Saudi Pro League.
It was stated that Lazio – who saw an opening bid for Greenwood rejected by United – are the Carrington academy graduate’s preferred next transfer destination.
A recent report covered by The Peoples Person revealed that Greenwood wants his future sorted in the next week as he’s eager to learn where he’ll be playing his football next term.
As the rest of the United players return to training on Monday, it’s likely that the 22-year-old will be given more time away while the Red Devils attempt to engineer a permanent exit for him.
Amidst all this, The Mirror published pictures of Greenwood training with his former United teammate Shoretire. The pair were spotted doing sessions on a football pitch in Manchester to maintain their fitness.
Greenwood had on a Jamaican national team shirt and an orange pair of boots. Shoretire was wearing a tracksuit.
Shoretire parted ways with United earlier this summer at the end of his contract.
The midfielder was once United’s youngest-ever player in Europe. At the moment, he doesn’t have a club.
