“I have faced Vinicius Jr many times but this Man United’s player is more skill and dangerous”: Man City defender says ONE Man United’s player is better than Vinicius

Amad Diallo has just added another dramatic late winner to his highlight reel at Manchester United.

The 22-year-old was simply flawless on Sunday afternoon having carried Manchester United to a 2-1 victory over Manchester City.

Amad Diallo was a “menace” at the Etihad Stadium after being given the nod to start at No.10 ahead of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho who were left out.

Ruben Amorim put his trust in Amad and that faith was repaid when he won a late penalty to draw United level before scoring the winner two minutes later.

Amad has become Amorim’s first-choice No.10 after impressing the Portuguese head coach in recent weeks, and his late winner against City matched a feat only ever achieved by former United striker Robin van Persie.

Amad Diallo winner matches Robin van Persie feat

Last season, Amad scored an iconic last-gasp winner against Liverpool on the way to United’s FA Cup success.

Now he has scored against United’s other arch-rivals in similar fashion, and it is a goal that entered his name into the record books.

As pointed out by Opta, Amad’s winner against City was only the seventh winning goal scored in the 90th minute against the reigning Premier League champions.

The only other United player to achieve that feat was Van Persie when he scored a last-minute free-kick at the Etihad Stadium in 2012.

Amad Diallo has become untouchable at Man United

Ineos are continuing their overhaul at United, and after Rashford and Garnacho were left out against City – their future will no doubt be in question.

However, Amad is considered unsellable by United chiefs and he proved why on Sunday afternoon.

He was easily United’s biggest threat against City and looks well-suited to Amorim’s 3-4-3 system – either at wing-back or in a No.10 position.

Owen Hargreaves called Amad ‘undroppable’ after the defeat to Nottingham Forest and that statement has been proven true over the past week.
