I have not been thinking straight ever since I arrived from sporting because of this TWO particular players,Now I understand why Ten Hag was sacked”, Ruben Amorim reveals the TWO Players that doesn’t deserve to be in Man United squad after Today’s shambolic performance
Manchester United are reeling with back-to-back losses now after Nottingham Forest stunned them 2-3 at Old Trafford.
Manchester United started from where they left off in the Arsenal game in the world possible way, conceding an uncontested header from Milenkovic within the first 90 seconds.
The response was good, though, as United swarmed forward and put Forest under pressure with some nice attacking play.
It paid off in the form of a Hojlund goal, made by some great passing by De Ligt and Ugarte before Hojlund pounced on Garnacho’s saved shot.
That is how the game would go into half-time but not before United had more scares from set-pieces which would worry Amorim to no end.
The second half started like the first half began, with a Forest goal but this time Fernandes and Onana were culpable as the former gave the ball away and the latter was bamboozled with the slightest swerve.
Forest tore the script apart as they got their third soon after, Wood took full advantage of a defensive mixup to score a header at the far post.
United looked dead and buried but Amad willed himself forward and found Fernandes on the edge of the box to bring them back into it. The squad huffed and puffed after but Forest stood firm and came away with all three points as United will need to go into self-reflection mode.
Andre Onana – 1
Was left stranded for the Forest opener, flat-footed with the swerve on Forest’s second which was unforgivable, and indecisive for their third. A rare horrific outing but a costly one. Comical handling of a late freekick summed up his day.
Leny Yoro – 6.5
Wasn’t directly responsible for any error and neither did he conjure up a major tackle or defensive action. Precious minutes in his legs.
Matthijs de Ligt – 6.5
Fluffed a clearance or two but played a major role in United’s opener by being patient on the ball, finding Ugarte in acres of space. A mix-up with Onana for Forest’s third.
Lisandro Martinez – 2
Shouldn’t have been marking Milenkovic on a corner but once he was, should have made him work harder because he didn’t even contest the header. Left in no-man’s land for Forest’s third as he just let the ball bounce past him into the goal. A forgettable outing for the usually dependable Argentine.
Amad – 8
A slight decline from his now usual world-class standards as he is starting to get targeted by the opposition. Still made enough impact to bag an assist and looked like United’s most dangerous attacker.
Diogo Dalot – 5
Took up some nice positions in the attacking half but the end product was missing in what is becoming a theme for him recently.
Manuel Ugarte – 7.5
Followed up a great display vs Arsenal by showing the lesser-known part of his game on the ball. Played in Garnacho for his shot which was tucked away by Hojlund. Combative in midfield and kept his brain when everyone around him was losing it.
Kobbie Mainoo – 6
Flew under the radar as Forest chose to be tough with United’s playmakers and he bore the brunt of it. Kept mistakes to a minimum but at the cost of penetration.
Bruno Fernandes – 7
Almost scored as his freekick in the first half came back off the crossbar. Gave the ball away in the second half from which Forest retook the lead but atoned for it somewhat with a fine goal of his own.
Alejandro Garnacho – 5
His speed and runs in behind kept the Forest defence honest. Should have scored but it didn’t cost United as Hojlund tapped in the follow-up. Not much impact otherwise.
Rasmus Hojlund – 7
Good bounce-back performance after a hard time vs Arsenal as he scored with a striker’s anticipation and earned some fouls through tough hold-up play
