‘I just love watching him’: Reiss Nelson says Arsenal have an ‘amazing’ 21-year-old in their ranks

Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson has praised the “amazing” Bukayo Saka for how he played at the World Cup.

The Hale End graduate, speaking to Hayters TV, says he can’t wait to see the 21-year-old back at London Colney.

Saka has enjoyed another impressive major tournament, despite the Three Lions sadly falling short again.

He registered three goals and one assist in Qatar, and was one of the brightest England players against France.

The Arsenal star won the penalty from which Harry Kane equalised against the 2018 champions.

In the end, France had just a little too much for England, who bowed out at the quarter-final stage.

With just two games remaining at the World Cup, Premier League clubs’ mid-season preparations are in full swing.

Arsenal take on Juventus in a friendly this weekend before returning to league action against West Ham on Boxing Day.

And Nelson, speaking to Hayters TV after the Gunners won the Dubai Super Cup, sung his teammate’s praises.

“Even just saying his name, you smile,” he said.

“Bukayo is such a great kid and of course I just love watching him all the time even in training.

“It’s just amazing to see him play at the World Cup, I thought he played amazing.

“I can’t wait to get him back in the Arsenal shirt and (he can) help us go on to win games.”

Arsenal and England should count themselves lucky over Saka

Honestly, what more can be said about Saka that hasn’t already been said?

He’s one of the best players in the Arsenal and England setup, pure and simple.

It’ll be exciting to see how Saka develops in the coming years – his ceiling is so high that he could well become a superstar.

Arsenal need to do all they can to tie him down to a new long-term contract, because he’s the kind of player you can build a team around.
