Joshua Zirkzee has sent a defiant response to the transfer rumours surrounding his Manchester United future amid a message from Ruben Amorim.
After a challenging start to life at Manchester United, summer signing Joshua Zirkzee’s future has appeared to be uncertain.
Many fans already believe the striker doesn’t align with the profile preferred by new manager Rúben Amorim, who operates in a 3-4-3 system.
The striker has managed just one goal and two assists in 19 appearances, which has led to speculation that he could already depart the club this summer.
The 23-year-old has frequently been linked with Juventus, with Italian outlet TuttoJuve claiming that a potential swap deal involving Douglas Luiz is on the cards.
However, according to Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Dutch striker is not for sale at Old Trafford and Juventus are not attempting to sign him.
It was added that Zirkzee is focused on gaining Amorim’s trust after a difficult start to life at his new club. He will be aiming to prove those wrong who are currently doubting him.
The 23-year-old is working hard behind the scenes to prove himself to the new head coach.
Criticism of Zirkzee has quickly come due to his lack of goals, but it is his lack of confidence in a United shirt that has been more alarming.
