Kai Havertz is one of the most enigmatic players in world football.
The German, depending on who you ask, is either an overpriced useless player or he’s an elite footballer who is just waiting to be unlocked.
In our view, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle, but one thing is for sure, Havertz is one of the most polarising footballers in the world.
Many fans get frustrated with Havertz’s lack of end product, but those who like to dig a bit deeper often praise the German for his smart play and ability to affect the game even when he’s not on the ball.
One man who is clearly a fan of Havertz is Diogo Dalot, speaking to Goal, he’s been attempting to build his so-called ‘perfect footballer’ made up of a number of attributes, and when it comes to a footballing brain, he chose the Arsenal man.

We’re not sure if we’re missing something here, because, in our view, Havertz’s football brain really isn’t that brilliant.
Yes, he can occupy defenders and make good runs, but for most of the start of this season it really looked as though he was getting in a lot of other players’ way and not clicking with the team.
Things have improved a lot recently, it must be said, and we do acknowledge that Havertz has played some smart stuff as of late. However, throughout most of his tenure in England, Havertz has been largely ineffective and many of his decisions both on and off the ball have been somewhat baffling.
