I know their fans are going to attack me because of this but I don’t care, They’re definitely going to lose this Match’: Paul Merson finally reveals His prediction for Manchester United vs Fulham game this weekend
This weekend, Manchester United return to Old Trafford facing Fulham and now Paul Merson has had his say on how the game might go.
Erik ten Hag will hope to hand Sir Jim Ratcliffe the first win of his new era this Saturday as Manchester United take on Fulham.
A win for the home side would make it five in succession and could see the gap to the top five closed even further.
Another man looking to continue his streak on Saturday will be Rasmus Hojlund who could make it seven consecutive Premier League games with a goal.
Ahead of the game, Paul Merson has given his predictions while also praising a player he admits he’s a fan of.
Paul Merson predicts Manchester United vs Fulham
Writing in his weekly predictions column on SportsKeeda, Merson heaped praise on one United star, before predicting a happy afternoon for Ten Hag.
“Manchester United are going to score goals in this game, and Fulham will need to score as well if they want to get a result. Man United have a set front three now, and they’re performing consistently for Ten Hag.
“Fulham have picked up only seven points from their travels so far, and have been poor away from home. I can only see a Man United win in this fixture, and that would put them right into the top-four race.”
Merson then ended by predicting the scoreline, with a 3-0 United win being the way he swang. This would be a massive victory for United and a second huge result at Old Trafford on the bounce.
Making it five wins on the bounce would also represent that Ten Hag’s side are on the path to becoming top-tier once more, albeit with a long way to go.
Merson lauds Rasmus Hojlund
Merson didn’t stop at just a prediction though as he once more lauded the in-form forward, Rasmus Hojlund.
“I like Rasmus Hojlund, and I think he’s going to be a superstar. He was injured when he arrived at the club, but you can now see that he’s fit and settled. He’s only 21 years old, and he’s been brilliant for United.”
Hojlund was criticised heavily in the early months but now that’s all changed with it becoming daily that he’s praised.
Recently with his inflated confidence which grows weekly, he’s begun to look less like a youngster and more like a true superstar.
