‘I LIKE HIM’: Robbie Keane really likes player who could reportedly become Arsenal’s record signing
Robbie Keane has raved about reported Arsenal target and West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice on Sky Sports Premier League (7:08pm, February 19, 2023).
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker has said that Rice, who has been linked with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, is a leader.
Keane made the comments about the England international midfielder after the Premier League game between Tottenham and West Ham United this past weekend.
The Hammers lost the London derby at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
David Moyes’s side are in real danger of getting relegated from the Premier League to the Championship at the end of the season.
Rice, who can also operate as a midfielder, has been linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
According to The Daily Mail, Arsenal are determined to sign Rice from London and Premier League rivals West Ham in the summer of 2023 and could prioritise him over fellow midfielder Moises Caicedo of Brighton and Hove Albion.
TalkSPORT journalist and presenter Jim White has said that West Ham want as much as £120 million plus add-ons for the midfielder in the summer of 2023.
Journalist Dean Jones told GiveMeSport this month that Arsenal are willing to break their transfer record for Rice and make him their most expensive signing.
