That’s according to a report from The Sun who outline the Gunners’ pursuit of the England international.

It’s an exciting project, and Declan Rice has reportedly already been impressed by what Arteta has achieved.
There’s plenty of competition to sign the 24-year-old this summer with West Ham hoping a bidding war will break out.

He took a risk clearing out some of the senior members of the squad such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
However, the faith he’s shown in the young players at the club has already paid off.
On top of Rice being impressed with Arteta, the Arsenal coach is a big fan of the midfielder too.
On the Tippy Tappy Football Podcast, Bianca Westwood shared that, “I’ve heard Arteta would really like him at Arsenal.”
Tim Sherwood went on to suggest that Rice will be an upgrade on Thomas Partey if he does join.
The move has been spoken about so much at this stage that it would be a real surprise if it didn’t happen.
