‘I love Him’: Declan Rice has already been really impressed by ‘unbelievable’ Arsenal man
West Ham United captain Declan Rice has reportedly already been very impressed with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
That’s according to a report from The Sun who outline the Gunners’ pursuit of the England international.
Arsenal are in a brilliant position to convince new signings to come to The Emirates this summer.
Not only will they be playing in the Champions League again, but they’re also playing some of the best football in Europe right now.
Mikel Arteta has developed an exciting style of play using the youngest squad in the Premier League.
It’s an exciting project, and Declan Rice has reportedly already been impressed by what Arteta has achieved.
There’s plenty of competition to sign the 24-year-old this summer with West Ham hoping a bidding war will break out.
The opportunity to work with the Spanish coach might be what gives Arsenal the edge over their rivals.
Rice impressed with Arsenal coach Arteta
The report from The Sun states that, ‘Rice is also known to be impressed by Mikel Arteta’s philosophy of building his team around hungry young players.’
The ‘unbelievable’ coach has already made huge improvements at The Emirates.
He took a risk clearing out some of the senior members of the squad such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
However, the faith he’s shown in the young players at the club has already paid off.
On top of Rice being impressed with Arteta, the Arsenal coach is a big fan of the midfielder too.
On the Tippy Tappy Football Podcast, Bianca Westwood shared that, “I’ve heard Arteta would really like him at Arsenal.”
Tim Sherwood went on to suggest that Rice will be an upgrade on Thomas Partey if he does join.
The move has been spoken about so much at this stage that it would be a real surprise if it didn’t happen.
However, the last player spoken about in this manner was Mykhaylo Mudryk.
The Gunners will be hoping for a more positive outcome from this transfer saga.
