Speaking on the Die for Three Points Podcast, Neil Warnock has been discussing Arsenal’s title charge and Gabriel Jesus.
The Brazilian striker has been a star for the Gunners this season, but sadly, he’s set for three months on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery.
Warnock believes that Arsenal will really miss their striker, stating that he’s a huge admirer of the Brazilian’s style of play.
Warnock described the attacker as a ‘horrible little person’, but when you’re Neil Warnock that’s one of the biggest compliments you can give out when speaking about a footballer.
WARNOCK LOVES JESUS
The pundit spoke about the Arsenal striker.
“I think it’s wide open in the Premiership it’s going to be fantastic. Arsenal to have lost Jesus like that, I mean wow. That is a blow that. He’s a horrible little person on the pitch, I love him! As a manager, oh I’d absolutely love him, I do honestly, I’d have him anywhere me, I think he’s a fabulous player,” Warnock asid.
WILL BE MISSED
There’s no two ways about it, Arsenal are really going to miss Jesus over the next few weeks.
Yes, he’s not been scoring as prolifically as a Harry Kane or a Erling Haaland, but his contribution to this Arsenal team cannot be understated.
His mentality sets the benchmark in the dressing room, and he absolutely understands everything Mikel Arteta asks of him.
Simply put, Jesus is a world-class talent, and no matter who the Gunners go out and sign in the January transfer window, they will have a tough time when it comes to replacing the Brazil international in this side.
Jesus’ injury could have a serious effect on Arsenal’s chances of winning the title.
