‘I love you’: Alexandre Lacazette hails Arsenal player after NLD win over Spurs

Alexandre Lacazette hailed one player after Arsenal beat 10-man Tottenham 3-1 to win the bragging rights for the north London derby on Saturday.

The recently-departed striker posted on his Instagram story ‘Brother, I love you’, as he also posted a clip of Xhaka scoring Arsenal’s third goal against their bitter rivals.

Just like many expected, the Premier League encounter was full of passion, goals and drama from beginning to end.

Arsenal opened the scoring with a wonderful curling effort from Thomas Partey, before Kane, once again, scored from the penalty spot to level the scores.

But the home side’s pressure was too much to deal with, as Gabriel Jesus was then pouncing on a Hugo Lloris’ error to put the Gunners back into the lead, before Emerson Royal was sent off in the second half to make matters worse for Antonio Conte’s side.

That’s when Xhaka and Gabriel Martinelli combined for the rejuvenated midfielder to score, as Lacazette couldn’t hide his emotions on social media by posting ‘Brother, I love you’, added with praise for Partey’s goal also.

XHAKA IS A TRANSFORMED FIGURE

When Mikel Arteta walked through the doors at the Emirates, Xhaka’s career at Arsenal was heading one way and one way only, and that was towards the exit door.

There was seemingly no coming back for the disgraced captain, whose relationship with the fans had hit a brick wall.

But it has been some turnaround from the hard-hitting midfielder, including donning the captain’s armband again.

He doesn’t wear it on a regular basis, because that’s Martin Odegaard’s role now, but he has stepped in on occasions to the delight of his own supporters.
