‘I really like him so much’: Mykhailo Mudryk says he’s a fan of £150,000-a-week Arsenal player
Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has said that he likes Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Mudryk plays with Zinchenko for Ukraine, and the Chelsea winger has raved about the former Manchester City star on Sky Sports.
Zinchenko, who can operate as a left-back or as a midfielder, has been superb for Arsenal so far this season following his move from defending Premier League champions City in the summer of 2022.
The £150,000-a-week (Spotrac) Ukraine international has made 20 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Mikel Arteta’s side so far this season.
Zinchenko has scored one goal and provided two assists in those games.
Mudryk was linked with a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window, but winger went to London and Premier League rivals Chelsea instead.
Zinchenko has publicly said that he wanted his Ukraine international teammate to join him at Arsenal in the middle of the season.
CHELSEA WINGER MYKHAILO MUDRYK ON ARSENAL AND UKRAINE STAR OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO
Mudryk said about Zinchenko, as transcribed by The Mirror: “He helped me a lot. I like him so much.
“We often joke about Arsenal, Chelsea and what colour London is.
“But I like this guy, he is a very funny and very kind guy. We spend time always [together] in a positive way.”
Our VERDICT: TOP PLAYER
In our view, Oleksandr Zinchenko is one of the best left-backs around and has been really good for Arsenal.
The 26-year-old has made Arsenal’s plan more intricate and has been a leader on the pitch as well.
One of the main reasons why the Gunners are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment is the form of Zinchenko.
