‘I tried to convince him to join Saudi league but He insisted on joining Arsenal’: Neymar Jr confirmed His £60m international teammate will join Arteta side Arsenal by January
Arsenal are looking to further strengthen their midfield and are looking at a number of options ahead of the January window.
The Gunners are said to be keen on Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz but there are other options for Edu and Mikel Arteta as well.
One of those options is Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra, with 90Min reporting that the youngster has been watched for months by Arsenal’s scouting team.
Arsenal could make move for Javi Guerra
According to 90Min, Guerra is being scouted by Arsenal as they assess what’s next in terms of making a new midfield signing.
The Gunners spent big money on Declan Rice in the summer but there remains questions over the future of Thomas Partey. With that, Mikel Arteta is said to be looking at a number of potential signings.
Guerra, 20, has started to star for Valencia after being given his chance in the first-team.
Lauded by Ruben Baraja as being ‘very fast‘ in terms of his development in the game, Forbes has previously reported that Manchester United are interested in Guerra as well.
Guerra is one to be excited about
Spain has a habit of producing excellent players and it very much looks like Javi Guerra is going to be another off the conveyor belt.
Guerra has looked the business at times in midfield and at just 20, you’d have to say the sky is the limit for the youngster.
Of course, a lot can happen and there’s plenty of time for his career to go both ways. But a move to Arsenal and working under Mikel Arteta might well appeal to Guerra, who will see Martin Odegaard’s move from La Liga as an inspiration.
Certainly, if Arsenal win this race, there’ll be a lot of disappointed clubs around Europe
