“I WANT HIM OUT OF MY CLUB”: President admits he may now have to sell 20-year-old as Arsenal open talks with the CLUB
Arsenal have received a boost in their pursuit of Ansu Fati after some interesting comments emerged from Spain.
WHAT’S THE STORY?
Well, the Gunners are said to be in talks with Barcelona over a deal to sign the 20-year-old.
That is according to Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports.
Now, Joan Laporta – President of Barcelona – has shared some comments that will surely be of interest to Arsenal supporters.
As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, the 60-year-old said: “We can’t rule out the sale of an attacking player in the summer. When Memphis Depay left us, we could have signed a forward, but the economic reality is very difficult and we can’t rule out the sale of an attacker.”
It comes after Raphinha admitted that Fati is feeling “down” due to his lack of game time under Xavi.
Spanish outlet SPORT have added that the Spain international is currently unhappy at the Camp Nou after Xavi overlooked him for a start in the UEFA Europa League defeat against Manchester United.
With all of the above taken into consideration, it would seem Arsenal have a strong chance of signing Fati
ANSU FATI SHOULD PUSH FOR ARSENAL MOVE
In our view, there is no better place for a precocious talent like Fati right now than the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta has developed the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli tremendously, with both already on double figures for goals in the Premier League with 10 and 11 respectively so far this season.
The Spaniard also proved his talent at developing attackers when working with Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling at Manchester City, so his progress with the aforementioned Arsenal duo is seemingly no accident.
Therefore, if Fati wants to get his promising career back on the right track, he should push for a move to Arsenal.
