‘I WILL NEVER PLAY UNDER ARTETA AGAIN ‘: Arsenal star player who always Criticise Arteta’s BEHAVIOR has vowed not to Play for Arsenal again UNLESS Arteta is been sacked

According to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs in TEAMtalk, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal could sell Nuno Tavares at the end of the season.

Jacobs has said that Arsenal could cash in on Tavares if they are able to make a decent profit on the £8 million left-back.

Tavares joined Arsenal from Benfica in the summer of 2021.

The 23-year-old is on loan at Marseille in France at the moment.

The Portuguese youngster has been doing well in a left wing-back role at Marseille.

Tavares has scored six goals in 18 Ligue 1 starts and has played six matches in the UEFA Champions League for Marseille this season.

ARSENAL COULD SELL NUNO TAVARES

Jacobs said: “With Tavares I think it’s very unlikely that he’ll play for Arsenal again. That’s just a positional kind of thing.

“Zinchenko, Tierney, at the moment, is still there, Tomiyasu there, as well. And the thing with Tavares is that Arsenal can probably, if not definitely get a profit off him because he’s only 23 years of age and the fee that Arsenal paid in 2021 for Tavares was only £8m.

“That means that if they do choose to sell him, they’ll be able to cash in and make a tidy profit, which will reflect well on their books, on Financial Fair Play and provide an opportunity to clear some squad space in order to no doubt bolster in other positions.”

CASH IN

In our view, it would make sense for Arsenal to sell Nuno Tavares in the summer transfer window.

That Arteta decided to send the 23-year-old out on loan in the summer of 2022 suggests that he does not think that the Portuguese left-back is good enough to complete for a place in his starting lineup.

Let us not forget that Arsenal have Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney at left-back.

It would be hard for Tavares to get into the first team at Arsenal and stay there.

We believe that the 23-year-old himself should look to move on from Arsenal.
