‘I’m back to help my Team win champions league with my Experience although Arteta chased me out back then but I’m here now’: Former Arsenal player whom Arteta sold for £15m is now spotted at LONDON COLNEY today – Not Granit Xhaka

Former Arsenal midfielder was spotted back at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday as his old side beat Burnley.

Arsenal picked up a 3-1 win over the Clarets thanks to goals from Leandro Trossard, Oleksandr Zinchenko and William Saliba.

The Gunners were once again not at their best but it’s a positive sign they continue to grind out positive results.

Mikel Arteta’s men sit just a point behind league leaders Manchester City and you’d imagine the best is yet to come from this Arsenal side.

And as they picked up a crucial three points before the international break, a familiar face was in attendance at the Emirates.

Song spotted back at the Emirates as Arsenal beat Burnley
In a picture posted on X, Alex Song can be spotted on the touchline at the Arsenal vs Burnley game.

The former Gunners midfielder was posing for a picture while holding up an Arsenal shirt with ‘Song 17’ on the back.

Song was a fan-favourite at Arsenal before sealing a £15 million switch to Barcelona back in 2012.

The Cameroonian midfielder excelled under Arsene Wenger but struggled to make an impact at Camp Nou. He later ended up at West Ham United before spells in Russia and Switzerland.

Many Arsenal fans wonder what could have been had Song opted to stay in North London after such an impressive few years at the Emirates.

He was widely recognised as one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League at the time and it was no surprise to see Barcelona come calling.

Nevertheless, Song remains a popular figure amongst the Gunners faithful and will always be welcomed back with open arms.
