The first photos of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui in Man United training have emerged online.
Manchester United Football Club are yet to announce the signing of a pair of players, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, despite the fact both have been spotted in and around the town centre as their moves to Old Trafford draw ever closer.
Credit to INEOS and Erik ten Hag for working hard behind the scenes and pushing to bring these players in, which I know isn’t easy given the fact that United are currently working on a tighter budget than usual.
Now, we supporters are waiting patiently for the official announcement of both De Ligt and Mazraoui, though before then, an eagle-eyed fan has managed to snag a picture of the pair working hard with their new teammates.
It was X account @mufcMPB with the scoop, using photos presumably taken by @AbouJad_Talks, who has seemingly zoomed in extremely far in order to grab these images (hence the pixelation).
Check out the photos, via @mufcMPB, here:
In the photos, both De Ligt and Mazraoui can be seen talking to Ten Hag, as they look to familiarise themselves with both their new surroundings and teammates.
The good news? I’d fully expect both signings to be done before the Thursday 12:30 BST deadline for these guys to be able to play against Fulham this weekend.
Whether or not they will be involved is another matter entirely, though both have been keeping fit at Bayern Munich over the last few weeks, so they’ve given themselves every chance.
