‘I’M REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN HIM’: Danny Murphy really disappointed with one Arsenal PLAYER yesterday despite the win
Danny Murphy has criticised Arsenal central defender Gabriel on Match of the Day on BBC One (10:36pm, March 4, 2023) for his role in Bournemouth’s first goal against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Arsenal got the better of Bournemouth 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners were 2-0 down at one stage.
Mikel Arteta’s side came back strongly to eventually win the game 3-2.
Bournemouth took a shock lead in the very first minute.
While analysing the goal on MOTD on BBC, former Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool midfielder Murphy said that Brazilian defender Gabriel should have done better with his clearance.

Murphy said: “They don’t stop the cross, which is the first mistake. And then Gabriel, poor clearance on his weak foot.”
NO BIG DEAL
In our view, Gabriel’s mistake for Arsenal against Bournemouth was no big deal.
Such things happen.
You cannot expect a defender to have a perfect game.
In fact, you cannot expect any footballer to have a flawless game.
Gabriel does make mistakes from time to time, but he is still developing and progressing as a footballer.
The 25-year-old Brazilian will get better.
Arsenal fans need not worry.
The Gunners’ win against Bournemouth mean that they have retained their lead over second-placed and defending champions Manchester City.
