I’m so happy for Him – Mason Mount is happy that Arsenal have secured the signing of Europe best talent
Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount has praised Declan Rice, who has just moved to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal from West Ham United.
Arsenal have completed the signing of Declan Rice from London and Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer transfer window.
The Independent has reported that the Gunners have paid the Hammers an initial transfer fee of £100 million for Rice.
Arsenal are paying the 24-year-old England international midfielder a weekly salary of £250,000, according to the report.
Rice is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League who helped West Ham win the UEFA Europa Conference League last season.
The midfielder also played his role in the Hammers staving off relegation to the Championship at the end of last season.
Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount sends message to new Arsenal signing Declan Rice
Mount recently joined Manchester United from Chelsea, and he is pleased for his England international teammate.
Rice and Mount are very good childhood friends.
Arsenal pushed Manchester City really hard for the Premier League title last season.
You would expect Rice to help close the gap between City and Arsenal.
The 24-year-old can also play as a defender, so he would be another good option to have at the back for manager Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal will be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season as well.
Rice is coming to Arsenal after winning a major European trophy with West Ham.
That is going to be important for the entire Arsenal team, too
Moreover, Rice is only 24.
We believe that the Englishman will grow and develop as a player in the coming years under Arteta.
Rice will be expected to hit the ground running at Arsenal, and there will be pressure on him because of the £100 million transfer fee.
However, Rice is a very mature player who takes everything in his stride.
We think that Rice will be a big success at Arsenal.
