“Incoming”: Arsenal plan bid for ‘very fast’ forward who doesn’t want Tottenham move – will boost Arsenal premier league title hope

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are planning to make a bid for Tottenham Hotspur target and Barcelona forward Memphis Depay in the January transfer window, according to TuttoJuve.

The report has claimed that Arsenal are planning to make a low offer for former Manchester United forward Depay.

The Netherlands international, who played at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, is out of contract at Barcelona at the end of the season.

So, Arsenal think that they could be able to convince Barcelona to sell them the 28-year-old in the middle of the campaign.

According to a report in Sport last month, Arsenal’s North London rivals Tottenham are also interested in Depay.

However, the Dutchman himself does not fancy a move to Spurs because he does not want to join a ‘second-rate club’.

90min have also reported that Tottenham are interested in signing Depay in the January transfer window.

COULD ARSENAL SIGN TOTTENHAM TARGET MEMPHIS DEPAY IN JANUARY?

In our view, Arsenal could be able to sign Memphis Depay ahead of Tottenham Hotspur from Barcelona in the January transfer window if they make a decent offer to Barcelona.

The Gunners are five points clear at the top of the Premier League table, and the chance to join a team on the up could be very tempting for the Dutchman, described as “very fast” and “dangerous” by former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas in Sport in August 2021.

Barcelona are not desperately banking on Depay as they have other options in attack and could be willing to do business.
