‘Incredible’ £100m player is now pushing really hard to join Arsenal in January – Edu just met with his agent

Arsenal want to sign Ukrainian international Mykhaylo Mudryk this summer and TeamTalk is reporting today that he is now pushing hard to get the move done.

Mudryk’s name has been on the lips of Arsenal fans for months now. The Ukrainian winger has emerged as the main target for the Gunners, who are desperate to strengthen in January. Mudryk himself is said to be a big fan of the Gunners as well, admitting he likes the way they play under Arteta.

As it stands, Shakthar Donetsk are holding out for big money for Mudryk. TeamTalk – which cites quotes from journalist Graeme Bailey – claims the Ukrainian side are even looking for around £100m. Of course, Arsenal won’t be paying that for the winger in January.

However, according to Bailey and TeamTalk, Mudryk is actively pushing his club to allow the move. Along with Arsenal’s own pushes from their end, Mudryk is also said to be making noises at his end about leaving.

Hailed in his homeland as an ‘incredible‘ footballer, Mudryk has shone in Europe this season. He has a big friend at Arsenal in Oleksandr Zinchenko, and is clearly keen on making the move.

Our View: Mudryk to Arsenal has to get done

Shakhtar are right to demand big money but how they think they’re going to get £100m is a bit overkill.

Sure, Mudryk is one of the best young talents in Europe right now. But there is simply no way Arsenal will pay this sort of money to sign Mudryk, especially in January.

Obviously, the Gunners will be keen to negotiate the fee down and will feel they have a chance of doing that. But all in all, the noises from Mudryk here are good news for Arsenal.

If the Gunners can get this deal done, then the title might well be a reality when the PL resumes in a week’s time.
