Joining Arsenal is not the problem Here but can they win something tangible in years to come!?I don’t see them as people that are serious in this league title pursuit”, Arsenal top target Alexander Isak reveals the ONLY CONDITION that can convince him to join Arsenal by January
Alexander Isak has made it clear that he is not willing to entertain the ongoing transfer rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal.
The Newcastle United forward, who is currently back in action for the Swedish national team after recovering from a toe injury, has refused to comment on speculation about his future, emphasising his commitment to his current club.
The Swedish international’s name has frequently been mentioned in relation to Arsenal, as rumours of a potential move to north London gather pace once again.
In my entire career, I have never spoken or commented on transfer rumours during the season,” Isak told reporters. “There have been many such years where it [a move to Arsenal] has been talked about, and I have said that it does not affect me. I am fully focused on my task at Newcastle, and we are working to have a great season, for which there are still great opportunities. I have no thoughts on anything else.”
Isak’s comments came as he paid tribute to fellow Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres, who has also been at the centre of attention in England. Gyökeres, currently playing for Sporting Lisbon, has been linked to Arsenal as well as Manchester United, following the appointment of Ruben Amorim, the former Sporting manager, at Old Trafford.
Speaking on Gyökeres’ form, Isak said, “We have seen for a while now, we Swedes at least, what he can do and the level he possesses. It feels like the whole world is starting to talk about him. In England, too, there is talk of him. It’s incredibly fun for him and for us in the Swedish national team that we have such a player.”
Isak, along with Dejan Kulusevski and Viktor Gyökeres, have been mentioned as one of the frontrunners for this year’s Guldbollen, the award for the best Swedish footballer. Despite the prestige of the award, Isak remains unfazed by individual accolades. “We all do our best to perform. We are fully aware that it is not in our hands how it is voted and how it is selected,” he said. When asked if he was personally thinking about winning the award, Isak replied, “Not really. Such things are just a bonus. I think more about having a great season, both with the club team and the national team.”
Isak has been a vital figure for Newcastle United, leading the line with purpose and quality. His performances have inevitably caught the attention of many top clubs, but for now, he remains committed to Eddie Howe’s project at St James’ Park.
