Journalist claims ‘world-class’ £88m Arsenal target could now be available on loan in January – Arsenal should give it a little time
Journalist Duncan Castles has reported that Atletico Madrid are willing to send Arsenal target Joao Felix on loan to an English club in January.
The £113 million (Sporting News) forward has been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium for the past couple of weeks.

While the Athletic’s credible David Ornstein suggested that Felix was one of Arsenal’s main January targets.
Clearly, the Portuguese international has been tipped for a transfer to North London at the turn of the year by several sources.
However, Ben Jacobs had tweeted that Arsenal’s interest had plummeted due to the valuation set by Atleti, which Fabrizio Romano stated was a whopping £88 million.
A fresh update suggests the Emirates faithful now have a reason to smile about the rumoured transfer.
JOAO FELIX TO ARSENAL ON LOAN IN JANUARY IS A POSSIBILITY
As reported for Duncan Castles for the Daily Record, Atletico Madrid are open to send Arsenal-linked attacker Joao Felix on loan to an English club in January.
Also, the club in question, which could end up being the Gunners will have no obligation to buy the 22-year-old.
However, Diego Simeone’s men will only do so if the Financial Fair Play costs in Felix’s contract are taken care of by the club that brings him in.
WHICH COSTS WILL ARSENAL HAVE TO COVER IN POTENTIAL FELIX LOAN DEAL?
First things first, Arsenal will have to pay a loan fee amounting to £8 million to Atletico Madrid, if they wish to pull off the loan deal.
Also, the league leaders will be demanded to pay the ex-Benfica phenom’s wages throughout the rest of the season.
If Arsenal agree to these two asks, Joao Felix could join the club in January on loan.
