JUST IN: Agent of £26.5M Star player just arrived in LONDON, personal terms already agreed – Here We Go soon

Arsenal could be holding talks over a deal to sign Ibrahima Bamba after his agent – Filipe Macedo Alves – was spotted in London.

WHAT’S THE STORY?

Well, the Gunners are said to be interested in the Vitória de Guimarães No.22 as Mikel Arteta aims to bolster his midfield depth, amid injury concerns regarding Mohamed Elneny.

It was the Mirror who claimed that Arsenal want Bamba, who is said to have a release clause worth £26.5m written into his contract.

Now, Alves – who owns FMA Sports, the company representing the Italian midfielder – has revealed that he is in London on his official Instagram account.

Of course, it is all rather vague, and Alves could just be in London for personal reasons.

However, with just six days remaining in the transfer window, and Arteta hoping to sign another midfielder, it is certainly an interesting development.

So far this season, Bamba has made 23 appearances in all competitions for Vitória de Guimarães, picking up eight yellow cards without registering a goal involvement.

BAMBA REPRESENTS CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE FOR ARSENAL

In our view, Bamba would be a decent signing if Edu fails to land Arsenal’s more costly options for the midfield department.

According to The Times, Arsenal are keen to sign Declan Rice from West Ham, who is valued at £80m.

The Telegraph believe Arsenal are also interested in signing Moises Caicedo from Brighton, although the Ecuador international is likely to cost upwards of £60m after Chelsea saw a £55m bid rejected – according to The Athletic.

These are obviously ambitious targets, albeit realistic ones with Arsenal sitting top of the Premier League.

However, if a deal for Rice or Caicedo fails to materialise, we could see Bamba arrive at the Emirates Stadium as his £26.5m release clause makes a deal much easier to complete.
