Man Utd are willing to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle. The English playmaker is also wanted by Liverpool and Chelsea.
As per Caught Offside, the Red Devils want to hire the services of the Three Lions attacker, who is also on the wish-list of the Reds and the Blues.
The news source have mentioned that the Magpies star would cost around £70m-£75m. The question is, should Man Utd move to sign Gordon?
At Old Trafford, the first choice left winger is Marcus Rashford, who unlike Gordon, failed to earn a place for the England side at the European Championships.
Rashford scored 30 goals in all competitions in the 2022-23 season, but he had average last campaign under Ten Hag.
The 26-year-old only netted 8 goals and provided 5 assists in 47 appearances for the 20-time English champions.
In contrast, Gordon was brilliant for the Tyneside club last season. The 23-year-old winger, who can feature on either flank and even as a center forward, scored 12 goals and provided no fewer than 11 assists.
Reports this month have indicated that Man Utd are prepared to offload Rashford, who is on the radar of French champions, Paris Saint-Germain (HITC).
As per CO, Gordon himself is not pressing to leave Newcastle United and with the competition from Liverpool, who can offer CL football, it would be hard for Man Utd to land the playmaker.
In your opinion, is Anthony Gordon good enough to replace Marcus Rashford at Old Trafford?
