JUST IN -Man United ready to agree £100,000 a week deal to sign £51.4m star – Report
Manchester United remain heavily linked with Onana and multiple reports in the Italian media have indicated that the Cameroonian could head to Old Trafford.
According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Man Utd are ready to double the goal keeper’s current wages to hire his services.
The former Ajax shot stopper takes home around 3 million euros per season and the Red Devils are prepared to agree a deal worth 6 million euros per season i.e. around £100,000 a week.
As far as the asking fee is concerned, GdS claim a fee between 50 to 60 million euros is needed to sign the African star from Inter Milan.
On the other hand, Calcio Mercato claim that Man Utd are ready to pay 50 million euros. However, the Nerazzurri are looking to get 60 million euros (£51.4m).
As per Corriere dello Sport, David De Gea’s renewal could cost the Old Trafford club around 20 million euros.
Therefore, Dutch manager, Erik ten Hag, no longer wants the Spaniard and is pushing to lure Onana. CdS also claim a fee of £51.4m will be needed to secure his signature.
De Gea kept the highest number of clean sheets in the Premier League last season. On the other hand, Andre Onana kept the highest number of clean sheets in the UEFA Champions League.
