Manchester United

JUST IN Man united set to loose their top transfer target to PSG, Player have now agreed personal terms to join PSG today – HERE WE GO

Manchester United have been told that Goncalo Ramos is now moving forward with a potential Paris Saint-Germain transfer.

We all know that United are in the market for a new striker this summer.

Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund continues to be the top target although striking a deal for the Dane has been tricky.

ESPN reported just a few days ago that United could yet turn to Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani.

Hojlund or Kolo Muani appears to be the conundrum for United right now with Hojlund seemingly leading the way.

Others have been linked though and one of them is Benfica forward Goncalo Ramos.

Manchester United linked with Goncalo Ramos

The Mirror reported in June that United were interested in signing Ramos.

It was suggested that super-agent Jorge Mendes had been given a mandate to sell Ramos.

A deal worth around £80million had been suggested with United showing an interest.

The 21-year-old hit the headlines at the World Cup in Qatar, smashing a hat trick against Switzerland after being picked over Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ramos enjoyed a ridiculous campaign last season, hitting 27 goals in 47 appearances for Benfica.

Yet if United are keen to lure Ramos to Old Trafford, they will have to move very quickly…

Paris Saint-Germain moving to sign Ramos

90Min now report that United have been informed by the representatives of Ramos that a deal with Paris Saint-Germain is advancing

Talks are ongoing and United have been informed in case they want to make a move themselves.

This certainly feels like a case of these representatives making it clear that United have a last chance to move for Ramos before they commit to PSG

United continue to chase Hojlund as their priority but it’s noted that Ramos has been on their ‘long list’ of striker targets.

It therefore seems unlikely that United will move in to try and beat PSG to the signing of Ramos this summer.

PSG may see Ramos as their next great attacker amid questions over Kylian Mbappe’s future, and it will be fascinating to see how both he and Hojlund develop over the coming years.
